Your coaching report
Every report is written from the data of the match you paste in, not from a generic hero guide. It is split into seven parts, read top to bottom like a VOD review with a coach. See a full example report.
Overall Assessment
The one story that decided the game for you: a lost lane, a missed power spike, or fights you joined too late.
What You Did Well
Two or three concrete things backed by your numbers, so you know what to keep doing.
Critical Mistakes
The mistakes that cost the most, ranked by impact, each with what happened, why it was wrong and what to do instead.
Itemization Analysis
Your build judged against this specific draft: counters you needed, synergies you missed, items that didn't fit the game.
Farm & Efficiency
GPM and XPM compared with real OpenDota benchmarks for your hero, as exact percentiles rather than guesses.
Teamfight & Objective Play
How often you were part of your team's kills, how fights went, and whether you converted them into towers and Roshan.
#1 Priority to Fix
One habit to work on in your next game. Not a list of ten things you will forget by the next match.
From Match ID to report
DotaMirror pulls the match from OpenDota: the draft, your last hits and farm, item purchases with timings, kills and deaths, and every teamfight of the game. If the replay hasn't been parsed yet, we ask OpenDota to parse it first.
Your numbers are then compared with OpenDota's benchmarks for the hero you played, so a statement like "your GPM was better than 84% of players on this hero" is a real percentile, not an estimate.
Finally an AI coaching model reads all of it together, with your rank bracket and the game mode in mind, and writes the report. Signed-in players can add a focus area, for example "why do I keep dying in the mid game", and get a separate section answering exactly that.
Before you analyze
Where do I find my Match ID?
In the Dota 2 client open your profile, go to Recent Matches and open a game: the Match ID is shown in the match details. On Dotabuff or OpenDota it is the number at the end of the match page URL.
What is my Steam ID and why add it?
Your Steam64 ID is a 17-digit number starting with 7656119. You can find it in the Steam client under Account details, or in your profile URL if you don't use a custom one. With it, the analysis knows which of the ten players is you. Without it, the report covers a random player from the match, most likely not you.
Why does the first analysis of a match take longer?
If OpenDota hasn't parsed the replay yet, we request the parse first. That can take up to a minute. Matches that were already parsed come back in a few seconds.
Why is some data missing from my report?
Detailed data comes from the replay. Very old matches whose replays have expired, and accounts with "Expose Public Match Data" turned off in the Dota 2 settings, give OpenDota less to work with, so parts of the report get shorter.
Does it work for Turbo games?
Yes. Turbo is detected automatically and the report switches to Turbo benchmarks, since farm and item timings are much faster than in a normal game.
Is the advice the same for every rank?
No. The report is pitched at your bracket: survival and last hits for Herald and Guardian, decision-making and item adaptation around Legend and Ancient, tempo and positioning details at Divine and Immortal.
